Bernerd GarsenPresident & CEO of GARSEN GOLF has come full circle with the launch of Garsen Golf’s Putter Grips from when his love of golf began at age 10. Since founding his company in 2012 with the “EDGE” putter grip, he has expanded the line to include six more designs: the MAX, the MAX 15″, the ULTIMATE, the QUAD Tour Proto, (tapered) the QUAD Tour Proto, (non-tapered) the QUAD Tour, (tapered) & (non-tapered) and the QUAD Tour Pistol (tapered) & (non-tapered). Garsen Golf has had twenty two wins combined on the PGA and European Tours including the 145th British Open won by Henrik Stenson with the 72 hole scoring record for a Major Championship (MAX) and the most recent with Abraham Ancer winning the Australian Open (QUAD Tour Pistol).

For the 12 years before launching GARSEN GOLF, he worked in the South Florida golf industry as a manager in outside services and as an assistant golf pro. During this time, he had the opportunity to research the individual needs and frustrations of thousands of golfers from all over the world and found that most issues were with putting. This gave him the idea of creating the perfect putter grip. He started experimenting with the shape of the putter grip, he cut up various grips, glued them together in a different shape, sanded them down and that was my first prototype. he revised several other prototypes with close input from professional golfers and high-handicappers. He then started researching where to manufacture the grips, which lead me to China. After approval by the USGA and obtaining patents worldwide, He began manufacturing the first design, the EDGE putter grip. Shortly thereafter, He resigned from my position as a golf pro and went out on the PGA tour to introduce his putter grip to PGA Tour players.

Our founder learned the game of golf from his father while growing up in California. In his twenties, he launched a successful fashion career in Europe, modeling for designers that included Giorgio Armani and Gianni Versace, then quickly transitioned to starring in hundreds of television commercials, billboards and print advertising campaigns for top European brands like Leche Pascual and Corte Ingles in Spain; Assos Cigarettes and Bravo Coffee in Greece and worldwide campaigns for BMW Motorcycles, Cunard Cruises, Volvo, MasterCard, and Iberia Airlines to name a few. While working around the world, he always made time for playing golf. He lives in Miami and is married to media personality Daisy Olivera.
